Women have been a part of every meaningful change in our world’s history, and we see women continuing to step up and lead in amazing ways. Young adulthood is a period of excitement, change, discovery, and exploration. PowHerr provides a space where young adult women can thrive and flourish through community building and social engagement with other women. We create a culture that fosters genuine connections, sisterhood, and discipleship for Jesus Christ.
Our Mission
PowHerr’s mission is to embrace, empower, and engage young adult women. Through our intentional events, we will provide opportunities for women to:
Share their stories and hear the stories of others
Expand their professional and social network
Foster meaningful relationships with other women
Harness their inner strength to deal with work and life challenges
Build their self-confidence, self-concept, and self-determination
Develop a living faith in a God who is relevant and relatable
Our Vision
PowHerr envisions a world where every woman’s unique and authentic personality is embraced, she is empowered to manifest change in her community, and she is engaged lovingly and holistically.
Who We Serve
PowHerr is for young adult women (ages 20-40) from different socio-economic statuses, racial and educational backgrounds, personal interests, and careers. Through shared life experiences, faith-building activities, and programs, women all over the Northeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists and beyond will be able to be part of a sisterhood community.
