ENDITNOW

The Seventh-day Adventist Church supports the enditnow® global initiative to raise awareness and advocate for the end of violence around the world. It aims to mobilize Seventh-day Adventists around the world and invites other community groups to join in to resolve this worldwide issue. This initiative, which extends to more than 200 countries and territories, was launched in October 2009 in partnership between the Adventist Development and Relief Agency (ADRA)—a prominent humanitarian organization—and the Department of Women's Ministries of the Seventh-day Adventist Church.

End it Now Emphasis Day is Sabbath, August 4 2024

IN AMERICA: One out of every 6 American women has been victim of attempted or completed rape during their life time.

This year for enditnow® Emphasis Day we have chosen to focus on "Abuse of Power," an issue that is difficult to address and infrequently spoke about in our church. How do those in power and leadership relate to church members? Many members have had painful experiences that they may have never spoken about but that nonetheless need to be addressed. This is a sensitive topic, and we ask that in all we do and say we do not make general statements about all people in power since this does not apply to all, only to some.

enditnow® is a worldwide church initiative on the Fourth Saturday of August each year
